OUR PROJECTS

Sorrel was an innovator in preparing over 60 trucks with water tight dump bodies, heavy duty tarps, safety bolts and a first no spill shield welded to the top of the dump bodies to prevent spills on the public roads. After a year on the job, Sorrel has performed efficiently with an impressive safety record.

PALMETTO HWY

FDOT E6105 - Expansion of I-75 from 826 to NW 154 Street

Sorrel has been involved since the inception of this project in supplying the transportation needs to two Prime Contractors for the past two years in a project that requires not only volumes of limerock but also on site hauling for the construction of bridges, ramps and walls.

KROME AVE

FDOT 6396  - Expansion of Krome Ave between MP 5.1 to SW 8th Street

On this project, Sorrel has been responsible for hauling fill from various quarries at a production rate of 4-5 thousand tons a day. Sorrel has been a critical part of the team to complete the project in a timely manner.

6395  - Expansion of Krome Ave between MP 10 to 14

On this project, the expansion of Krome Avenue between MP 10 and MP14, Sorrel hauled embankment fill with as many as 70 trucks a day to surpass the production projection by the prime contractor and finish the job before the expected date.

KROME AVE

FDOT 6393  - Expansion of Krome Ave @ MP31

On this project, Sorrel hauled in a very  efficient manner approximately half a million tons of embankment fill and assisted in all the transportation needs for the expansion of Krome Avenue just south of US 27.

MIAMI BEACH

Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane Protection Project - Sorrel is currently supplying 70 Dump Trucks to haul beach sand from Vulcan near Lake Okeechobee to Miami Beach for the renourishing of the beaches. 300,000 tons of sand will be delivered in approximately 4 months.
